Learning Celebrations and Field trip tomorrow
*Tomorrow is our field trip to the Leighton Art center. Please remember that a portion of the day will be spent outside, so wearing clothing as one would for a Fresh Air Friday will be necessary. Please pack a lunch that does not require heating as well as a couple of simple snacks for the day. We will leave shortly after the bell and return to the school around 3:00 p.m.
Today we are sending home a school-wide music field trip notice that must be returned by Friday. If you are able to volunteer for this please let me know. I would like to have at least two parent volunteers if possible.
Today we were invited to two learning celebrations. We were excited to go and see the kindergarten 100 day projects. They worked very hard on them and we enjoyed seeing all the different ways that they showed 100. We talked about asking them questions or giving them a compliment about their project. We noticed quite a few Lego and art projects!
The other learning celebration was for our Big Buddies. They have been working on a 3 month project that they were ready to share with us. They took old books that Mrs. Kidd had removed from the library because nobody was signing them out. They rewrote the story and the illustrations to make the book even better. Our big buddy read the story to us at the beginning of the project, and now we got to see all the improvements. These pictures show our big buddies sharing their stories with us.
